Allison hosts German commercial vehicle specialists at Experience Center in Hungary

A group of 25 German vehicle representatives recently visited the Allison Manufacturing Facility and Customer Experience (ACE) Center in Szentgotthárd, Hungary. During on- and off-road test drives, visitors personally experienced the benefits of Allison fully automatic transmissions.

MAINZ, Germany, 13th of November 2013 – The two-day Allison Transmission customer event attracted representatives from Iveco and Temsa Global importer, Ziegler, as well as fleet members from fire, refuse, construction and municipal services. In Szentgotthárd, Hungary, just a few kilometers from the Austrian border, Allison Transmission operates its European Manufacturing Facility, along with its six-hectare Allison Customer Experience (ACE) Center, which includes a Demonstration and Drive Track.

New Allison TC10™ Tractor Transmission Available for Order at Navistar

(NYSE: ALSN) announced that the new TC10™ road tractor transmission is now offered in Navistar’s International® ProStar® and TranStar® models with MaxxForce™ 13 engines with SCR. This is the first offering of the fully automatic Allison TC10. Navistar began accepting orders on October 15, 2013 and expects initial deliveries to occur in the first quarter of 2014.

Oise Fire and Rescue Department unveils 32-meter Aerial Platform truck equipped with an Allison automatic transmission at the 120th French Firefighters Congress, Oct. 10 to 12 in Chambéry (Aisles D & F, Area 25).

PARIS, France, 21th of October 2013 – A new flexible fire and rescue aerial platform truck is introduced as a direct competitor of traditional ladder trucks. Featuring an Allison 3200 fully automatic transmission, this vehicle is built on a Renault Premium 340.19D chassis. According to Oise Fire and Rescue, the transmission and chassis combination offers firefighters the most flexibility, and it has quickly proven to be indispensable. With a 32-meter arm and an integrated Finnish Bronto Skylift system, the vehicle is designed to adapt for all types of intervention, from civilian search and rescue to fighting fires.

Over 1000 Allison-equipped Yutong Buses Enter Venezuelan Market

Allison partners with Yutong in a large export of buses, a prime example of how Chinese-made vehicles are successfully entering international markets.

BEIJING,China, 21th of October 2013 – The successful export of buses from Yutong Bus Company to Venezuela has garnered attention from China's bus industry. More than 1,000 of these buses are equipped with Allison full automatic transmissions. Models delivered are primarily CNG powered buses, helping to improve urban air quality and reduce exhaust emissions. Venezuela has considerable natural gas reserves, a feature heavily promoted by the government because of the clean energy’s low cost. This has created a climate favorable to government support of the country’s abundant green energy.

üstra Hannover again chooses Allison hybrid articulated buses

üstra Hannoversche Verkehrsbetriebe AG (üstra) has taken delivery of nine additional Solaris Urbino 18-meter articulated buses equipped with the Allison H 50 EP™ hybrid system.

HANNOVER, Germany, 17th of October 2013 – üstra Hannoversche Verkehrsbetriebe AG, also known as “üstra,” first tested the Solaris Urbino 18-meter bus equipped with Allison’s H 50 EP™ hybrid system in 2008. After the successful testing phase 10 additional hybrid buses drive on line 121 since September 2011. Due to ecopolitical reasons the region of Hannover and üstra together decided to continue focusing on hybrid bus technology. From a recent tender, Solaris has now provided nine additional articulated buses with the Allison hybrid system.
